DMZ "M.I.A." Debuts In Europe
I got my comp copies of DMZ vol. 9 yesterday, about 3 weeks ahead of its release date, which is February 16th.  Today in the mail I got copies of the Spanish and Italian-language editions of the same, which possibly indicates its already on stands in Europe. Foreign editions occasionally dispense with my cover art, and in this case they went with JP Leon’s excellent cover to DMZ #52.

SHE HAS NO HEAD! – INTERVIEW WITH BRIAN WOOD &... →
funrama: The official New York Five #1 Week kicks off with some promotion: a Comic Book Resources interview with Kelly Thompson. Also, a “Don’t Miss” Podcast that I’ve largely avoided because of my awful Muppet voice.

zakzawaduk asked: I've noticed you've posted a lot of information about accessing digital copies of some of your comics. What is your perspective on the rise of scanning and comic torrents? I've reached a point where I've started to download many of the series that I have already purchased in either issue or trade format. For me, it simply means having a digital copy of a story I love. However,...

bigplansofsleepingin asked: I love the way you portray the communities of New York, and how you've captured the devotion to the city in all of your work, but particularly in DMZ. The only real question I have is, besides as merely a staging ground for military and "diplomatic" action, how do you imagine the role and situation of Long Island in the world of DMZ?

biohazardcomics asked: Brian,
Does your work target towards a political Conservative reader fan base or Liberal reader fan base? Possibly an Independent reader fan base? or all of these groups combined? I know a different question, but just curious.

Move
We’re getting ready for a short move, within Brooklyn, to a new place and I was thinking of all the places in the city I’ve lived in the last almost-20 years.  Here they are, in chronological order: Washington Heights / 190th St / Manhattan (1991-2) East 3rd St / Manhattan (1992-1996) 17th St / Union Sq area / Manhattan (1996-7) East 4th St / Manhattan (1997) Park Ave / Hoboken, NJ...

europeanspacerace asked: You say you didn't have a good year in 2010, in fact you say you had a horrible year. I hope I'm not prying, but I was wondering why you would go that far? I follow your work closely and this year was amazing in that regard, and it seems like your daughter is doing great, but I was concerned as a fan and just because I worry about people easily.

newshane-deactivated20110114 asked: First off, Channel Zero got me into comics, and for that, I'm forever indebted. Secondly, is the story arch of DMZ a dynamic and changing construction, or planned from the beginning? I thought I remembered an article/interview in which you mentioned that the entire plotline is already built, at least loosely. Truth be told, I'm pretty sure it lies somewhere in the fuzzy grey between...
