Sgt. Ford Checks In…

He’s back stateside and emailed me his thoughts on DMZ’s Friendly Fire (you might remember me posting his comments on Public Works)

“Good morning sir. I don’t know if you remember me but I was the soldier who highly praised DMZ while in country and passed it to all of my friends. Well I got my hands on friendly fire and man, let me tell you. F#$%ing breathtaking. You scored big points with the grunts on that issue. Two of my soldiers were so impressed they went straight to Criminal records in ATL when we returned and bought EVERY publication they could find that you made or collaborated in. The depiction of the poor kid from the midwest with no options vs the Military power establishment could not have been more accurate if you had siphoned off Petraeus’ brain. Well we’re back in the US now, for now I should say and things have relaxed. Just wanted to say, man awesome. It’s so refreshing to read something new that really speaks to the soldiers of my generation. Keep up the good work. Take care sir. SGT John Ford “
